2008 December - Occurences

Life is a process, no occurrence.
In real life the path is the destination!

Again these words aren't mine. Don't ask me where I got them from, but as in my blog about waiting I adopted these sentences and made them my primary objective for 2008 unknowingly.

So, looking back at the end of the year almost, I can say that I'm very thankful in any kind of way. I feel good, I am happy, I have accomplished a lot and I found my way back into faith again. My little family and I started the year with not just fireworks, but with a trip to Austria and that's how 2009 will begin, also… We went to the Bavarian Forest in summer. You see, we seem wealthy enough being able to afford such luxury, indeed we're not, we're just fortunate and we took offered opportunities. Sure, there were sad experiences and disappointments, too. My second ex-mother-in-law passed away and we couldn't even show her our last respect for instance. Besides that our American family could care less about us (with a few exceptions), which is very sad, not just for me, but for my little girl (who in fact isn't that little anymore). Oh well, other disappointments shouldn't be mentioned in here. Sure my MS is still bugging me at times and slowing me down, even though 'I look so good' *sarcastic*. But then on the other hand my closest family is doing well, feeling fairly alright, so do most of my dear friends. My boyfriend got hired again after eight months of being unemployed. *yeah* The grades of my daughter improved, she got braces for 2 ½ years to go, and she's about to go to France for 10 exchange days with a French student! Isn't that exciting news? Okay, I might still not be pregnant, but I have 27 children now *lol* whom I teach in English, since February, and although it's a hassle with the parents' payments sometimes, it's rewarding to look into the toddlers faces, and to hear them getting better in English by the minute, to experience that they have fun with me as a teacher! They make me forget the big effort it takes to pull all my knowledge and brain cells together, in order of being able to pass it on to them. Sure, my budget got tighter, costs of living are rising, but honestly, isn't life just simply wonderful? Well, mine is, I can assure you that much. For you I hope you made your 2008 a good one and that your 2009 will exceed your wildest imaginations (and the same to me)! I'm glad to have found you all online, thanks for being my online friends & family and to be a part of my life, even if it's 'just' virtually.

Merry Christmas and a happy, new year
to each and everyone of you.
XOXOXO
Regina
